IMPULSE ELECTROMECHANICAL SOURCES OF SEISMIC VIBRATIONS
Block diagram for all electromechanical sources Ņharge of capacitive storages (3) of electric impulses generator (4) is realised due to an operator's signal from a power-supply source (1) with the help of a charging unit (2). Discharge of the storages is realised due to a signal coming from the seismic station. At that, a signal from a control unit (6) comes to thyristor commutators (5). A formed electric impulse is given to windings of a linear impulse electric motor (LIEM) (7). An impulse of mechanical force developed at that is used not in the form of a pressure impulce (a pressure load), which is transmited to ground with the help of a supporting organ. Shock-free vibration generation provides stability (reproducibility) of effect, synchronism at grouping sources, increases reliability and working resource of LIEM. Specific pressure under the bedplate do not exceeds (6-10)·105 Pā. It guarantees transfer of loads to ground in limits its elastic deformations, and as a consequence of this the source can work hundreds of impects on one stand without move. Reactive mechanical impulse is received by the stator additionally loaded with inertial mass. LIEMs are divided into the following 3 types depending on principle of operation:
Recuperation of energy stored in the LIEM's winding back to the condenser store is provided in seismic sources produced by JSC Plant Potencial for decreasing power consumption and so for decreasing its weight that has particular importance for mobile devices. At that, primary energy of an accumulator or a synchronous generator is used only for additional charging of a store device up to operating volage. In addition to economy of elecric power, this decreases charging time of the store device and so gives capability for increasing repetition frequency of force effects. Sources TerraM and Terradyn are designed for exploration of small and average depths of geological category. Range of application:
Seismic sources Terra are designed taking into consideration requirements presenting at conducting seismic exploration on small depths including: autonomy, small dimension, weight, mass and cost, minimal operating staff, capability to work in regions difficult of access. LIEMs of electromagnetic are used in the sources. This provides high effectiveness of energy transformation: 120 - 150 N/J. LIEMs has magnetic circuits with collector interleaving and ring-shaped windings decreasing leakage fluxes essentially. All this decreases dimentions of feeding accumulators of the condenser store and LIEM itself and provides considerable resource of the accumulators without additional charging, lightens transportation of the source on profile. Structure decisions used in the seismic sources Terra and Terradyn are protected by patents of Ukraine for useful model No. 1748, 2537 as well as by patents of Russian Federation for useful model No. 32610, 37841. |
